AMKCO has been manufacturing and assembling (custom) vibratory separators for both dry and liquid processes for more than 25 years. On this page, you will find information about the different processes and you can navigate to the applicable AMKCO vibratory separator with a simple click. Discover the different possibilities of the AMKCO vibratory separators.
Whey processing
Since 2004, AMKCO has grown into one of the specialists in the global cheese industry. Partly thanks to the AMKCO whey separators, whey has grown from fodder into a high-quality food product. With an AMKCO whey separator, unprecedented return on investment times and a greatly increased cheese yield can be achieved.
With pre-filtration using an AMKCO whey separator, the quality of the cheese from the sieve is similar to that of cheese from the factory. Unlike centrifuges or rotating sieves, the AMKCO whey separator does not damage the structure of the cheese, making it very valuable after sieving. The fat in the whey is removed. Fat is a valuable component of the cheese production , which makes filtering it out an interesting proposition. However, centrifuges are very sensitive to contamination. The AMKCO whey separator ensures whey of such quality after sieving that the fat centrifuge is no longer hindered by contamination (and therefore, has fewer maintenance requirements), but the efficiency of the fat centrifuge is also significantly increased, yielding more fat.
As a pre-filtration system for installations from leading suppliers of ultra-filtration systems (UF) and reverse osmosis (RO) such as CFI, DSS and Tetra Pak, AMKCO has delivered dozens of installations. AMKCO whey separators can be found in, for example: Denmark, Netherlands, Finland, Germany,
Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus, Russia, Turkey, India, Colombia and Uruguay.
AMKCO whey separators are equipped with a motor of up to 1.8 kW as standard and a capacity of 30-35 m3/hour is easily achieved. This ensures the filtration process is also particularly efficient.
