The AMKCO Scalper machine is deployed in situations where a large amount of product must be separated from a small amount of foreign matter.
Standard vibratory separators are fitted with an underframe with a convex base and a tangentially placed outlet. The sieve mesh throughput is a limiting factor with most processes as it simply cannot cope with more of the product and will overflow.
With some processes it is not the permeability of the mesh that is the limiting factor, but the capacity of the underframe. In that case the amount
of the product is so high that the combination of convex base and tangentially placed outlet cannot manage it.
The Scalper machine is fitted with a diagonally placed base that ensures that the product is carried directly towards the machine outlet.
