AMKCO has been manufacturing and assembling (custom) vibratory separators for both dry and liquid processes for more than 25 years. On this page, you will find information about the different processes and you can navigate to the applicable AMKCO vibratory separator with a simple click. Membraanfiltratie
Perhaps the most common application for vibratory separators is in combination with membrane filtration (Ultra-Filtration (UF) or Reverse Osmosis(RO)). Expensive membranes used to separate solid particles from liquid at the nanometer level (for example, in RO) or, in the case of making a concentrate, removing excess water, are particularly sensitive to coarse parts which can place an unnecessarily burden on the membranes or even cause damage.

Using an AMKCO vibratory separator for pre-filtration, the liquid moving towards the membranes is always guaranteed to have a certain maximum size of coarse particles. It's not about the amount of solid particles that are present, but their size. For a 32 or 43 microns sieve, the liquid is guaranteed not to contain particles larger than these values. This means you can filter out a large proportion of the coarse particles in advance so the membranes are only loaded by the relevant parts and will not be damaged by these coarse particles. The life of your vibratory separator can then be extended considerably, which will easily increase the return on your investment.
