De-dusting
De-Dusting is undoubtedly the most difficult sieve technique process. For de-dusting, the screen is full of product and there is only a small amount of dust present. De-dusting is the opposite of control sieving because with control sieving, most of the product falls through the screen and is removed via the convex bottom. During dust removal, the largest volume of product is, however, on the screen and is moved across the flat screen to the outlet with the aid of vibrations.
Standard AMKCO vibratory separators are extremely suitable for de-dusting processes because the amount of time the product remains in the machine can be controlled very accurately.
In the event that a higher capacity is required however, it is important to remove the product from the screen as quickly as possible. As a result, a standard AMKCO vibratory separator is less suitable. By placing a screen with a smaller diameter than the sieve, the surface area of the sieve is limited, but constantly available. The product falls over the edge of the screen onto a diagonally placed plate (as with high-capacity control sieves), which moves the product quickly towards the outlet. Thus, the screen is constantly available and the de-dusting can continue as quickly and efficiently as
possible.
